Stone Ridge Estate
Narangba, QLD
Stockland Residential Development
Ace Landscapes were engaged by Stockland as the principal landscape contractor trusted to deliver the landscape construction for Stone Ridge, a Master Planned Community.
As a result, we were trusted to deliver every landscape stage for this large-scale development, from inception to completion over the course of approximately 6 years.
Over this time of construction we had the pleasure of working closely with multiple project managers and civil contractors.
With a very high focus on the environment, this project delivered exceptional and unique design elements with particular attention to timber items, the local school and the community.
Award-winning workmanship
The combination of the above with high levels of construction saw Ace Landscapes win a multitude of awards for Landscape Excellence including the 2012 Landscape Queensland Construction of the Year.
A feature of this construction, the ‘outdoor classroom walk’, was commended for the quality of workmanship. As quoted by Outdoor Design Source ‘In an industry that works with organic materials, site, weather, time and cost constraints this level of workmanship is hard to achieve.’
Through the use of timber rescued from the site, we constructed various features including an arbor, boardwalk, bollards, fences, seats and sculptures. Additionally we transformed an eroded waterway to achieve this feature, promoting the protection of biodiversity of plants and wildlife habitat in the process.

Instant established trees
The streetscape design was an additional element that elevated the feel of this estate. Ace Landscapes were able to install 3,000 litre ficus trees within roundabouts of the Stone Ridge Estate. These added a stunning effect, enhancing the aesthetic of the neighbourhood.
